WHAT KIND OF ORGANIZATION IS Victory?

We are a California 501 (c) 3 charity. Our mission is to provide support for persons in recovery from chemical dependency and mental health issues.

 

WHAT KIND OF VEHICLES CAN I DONATE?

We accept most cars, trucks, boats, trailers, jet-ski’s, snowmobiles.

 

DO YOU TAKE CARS IN ANY CONDITION?

Yes! We accept most donated cars and boats running or not. It doesn’t matter if it’s wrecked or hasn’t run in years.

 

WHAT IF THEY ARE ABANDONED ON MY PROPERTY?

That is not a problem for us.

 

WHAT DO I NEED IN ORDER FOR YOU TO TAKE MY CAR?

Just the vehicle. If you don’t have keys or paperwork, that is no problem.

 

DO YOU PICK THEM UP?

Yes. If it is drivable we will pick it up ourselves. If the car is inoperable, we will remove the vehicle (usually within 1 to 2 days, 7 days a week). Of course there is never a charge to you.

 

IS THERE EVER ANY COST TO ME?

There is never any cost to you. We cover all towing and any other costs involved. you are not responsible for past due regisration fees. 

 

WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE ANY PAPERWORK OR I LOST THE TITLE?

Usually not a problem. In most cases we can take the vehicle with a lost title certificate.

 

DO I HAVE TO KEEP THE CAR INSURED?

Once you have the release of liability, you need not keep insurance on the car.

 

HOW MUCH OF A TAX WRITE OFF WILL I GET?

Click on the tab “Tax Deduction Value” for tax write-off information. You can also go to the IRS web site and look up IRS Publication 4303 — A Donor’s Guide to Car Donations.

 

WHAT PERCENTAGE GOES TO THE CHARITY?

In the case of Santa Cruz Clean and Sober Homes, all of the proceeds stay with the organization.

 

HOW DO I KNOW I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IF MY CAR IS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT OR GETS TICKETS?

The first thing we give you will be the release of liability. It states on the official document; When this form is properly completed and the information is recorded by DMV, liability for parking and or traffic violations and civil litigation resulting from operation after the date of sale becomes the responsibility of the subsequent purchaser(s).

 

WHAT ABOUT PAST DUE REGISTRATION?

You will not be responsible for any past due registration. Once you turn in the release of liability you will no longer be held liable.
